Six - My Oh My
Pookie turned six on Monday. Crazy. It was a fun birthday weekend. Pookie's friends birthday was on Saturday, 3/21, and we had it at Plaster Fun Time in Salem. Great place for a party. The host Josh kept the "crowd" entertained. I liked this place as opposed to a Bonkers or Chuck E Cheese party because the kids actually spend time together. His friends in attendance were: Best Bud Joslin, Princess Hailey (who Tyler thinks is prettier than Piglet), Billy, Christopher, Old buds Nick, Andrew, Luke, and Kyle. On Monday, Piglet brought "nut free" cupcakes to Pookie's Kindergarten class. The kids loved them but chocolate cupcakes aren't exactly a hard sell. Later that night Piglet, Chatter Box, and Punkie took Pookie to dinner at Polcari's in Saugus (yum). Pookie dubbed his birthday the best birthday ever. Mission accomplished!

My How Things Have Changed
I need to blog. I need to remember this STUFF. Life happens, it's funny, it's crazy, it's memorable but over time the memories fade and then just disappear. So I need to blog but I'm not blogging for anyone but me because I need to remember...and anyone else that might find this stuff a wee bit funny.
So this morning when I was up at the crack of dawn getting ready for work, Pookie storms out of bed to yell at me because he can't sleep because A. I'm being too loud and B. The lights are too bright. And why is this funny? Because just less than a year ago I had to tip toe throughout the house because if Pookie heard me he would cry and plead for me not to go to work (telling me things like my work was closed) throwing out all stops in his effort to keep me home, but once accepting that I had to work he would wait until I was ready to go, give me a big kiss and wave good-bye with tears streaming down his face. Now a year later I'm being yelled at for being too loud so I bring him back to bed and as he turns his head to fall back to sleep, I give him a kiss on the cheek.
